LD @ Adams County Farmers Market
On July 2, 1863, Lancaster County-born Corporal Chester S. Furman & five fellow 6th Pennsylvania Reserve soldiers laid seige upon a quaint log house in Gettysburg, PA – and the squadron of Confederate sharpshooters sheltered inside – ultimately compelling the opposing forces to surrender their position. Four years later, Furman was awarded a Medal of Honor for this feat of tremendous bravery.
Fast-forward 125 years, we're proud to once again bring some Lancaster-born, award-winning spirit(s) to historic Gettysburg by way of the Adams County Farmers Market – a weekly community-driven, open-air farmers market featuring a variety of vendors selling seasonal produce, handmade crafts & unique wares.
